Donald S. Horace, Esq.

Donald is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Atlanta Bar Association, DeKalb County Bar Association, Fayette County Bar Association, Gwinnett County Bar Association, Henry County Bar Association, and Rockdale County Bar Association. Donald has practiced law for over 25 years in a number of areas as a lawyer and a judge.

Prior to opening the Law Office of Donald S. Horace, Esq., Donald worked at Atlanta Legal Aid Society, Inc., Arnall Golden Gregory, LLP. and the Grady Health System, Inc. as a Healthcare lawyer. He then served as an Administrative Law Judge at the Office of State Administrative Hearings before returning to private practice with the Senior Citizens Law Project and later with the Law Office of Ruthann P. Lacey, P.C.

Donald has been a featured attorney on the Layman's Lawyer, a local television program, and he has been highlighted in the Atlanta Journal Constitution and the Chronicle of Philanthropy. More recently, in October 2012, he was a panelist on Legally Speaking as an Elder Law Attorney expert.

Lastly, Mr. Horace has served on a number of boards, such as Senior Connections, Inc., Atlanta Young Singers, the Decatur Education Foundation, and the Decatur YMCA. He is also a frequent guest speaker at Senior Centers, places or worship, panels, community events, legal clinics and workshops, and continuing legal educations.

Licensed to practice law in Georgia, Donald is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and the University of Cincinnati College of Law. When he is not working, he enjoys exercise, electric guitar, tennis, travel, reading, and time with his family and friends.
